
This is not the ‘ubiquitous’ Picpoul de Pinet from the huge Costieres de Pomerols co-operative; this is from Paul Mas a well-respected producer.
Tasting notes: Initial nose of green apples and citrus. Fresh & refreshing. Green apples, white flowers and citrus notes. Balanced acidity; Picpoul works best with food. Short finish, little intensity, little complexity, but good summer drinking.

No Dr B, you commented on the Sainsbury’s Picpoul and I approved the comment, and liked it and it’s still there! Oysters are the ideal accompaniment to this wine (as, so often ‘if it grows with it, it goes with it’). The two wines are identical – and the two reviews are consequently very similar… Sante!
